Anna-Mae Kobbe is a longtime patron of performing arts programs at Maryland. She has frequently attended School of Music performances and individual Board-sponsored events throughout the academic year. Anna-Mae earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Education at Northwest Missouri State University in Vocational Home Economics as well as a Missouri Lifetime Teaching Certificate for grades 7—12. She also earned a Master of Science degree for the University of Missouri-Columbia in Child and Family Development. Anna-Mae continued with her academic research by achieving her doctorate from the University of Tennessee (Knoxville) in Human Ecology with a concentration in Family Studies and a cognate in Higher Education Administration and Supervision. After completing her doctoral studies, she was a tenured associate professor for the University of Tennessee System.
