This form certifies that a student has satisfactorily completed a scholarly research paper in partial fulfillment of M.M. degree requirements.

Application for Comprehensive Exams: 2017
This form is required to request an examination date for the comprehensive/preliminary exams. The form is valid for examinations conducted in 2017 only.

Elective Lessons Application
Under rare circumstances a student may be allowed to enroll in applied music lessons when doing so is not part of his/her degree program. Typically, this is done when the student is fulfilling a critical ensemble need in the School of Music, but applied lessons beyond what is required for a degree program is not guaranteed. The decision will be made based on the recommendation of the division chair, the availability of an instructor, finances, and other administrative concerns.

M-Cubator Grant Application Requirements
An M-Cubator grant provides seed funding of up to $1000 for a student/students to pursue creative or scholarly projects in music that are entrepreneurial in nature and extracurricular in scope. Special consideration will be given to projects with specifically defined outcomes and the potential to make a significant impact on the field or on society at large.

Collaborative Pianist Request Form, effective Fall 2015
To hire a collaborative pianist, you may contract your applied teacher for a list of approved pianists, or send an email to music-collab@umd.edu. You may also contact Dr. Theodore Guerrant directly at guerrant@umd.edu or 301-405-0284.

This request form must be completely and accurately completed and emailed to one or both of the email addresses listed above. You may also deliver your form to the envelopes available for this purpose outside Professor Sloan's and Dr. Guerrant's doors.
