This all-Brazilian program features multiple generations of nationalist composers who infuse their music with folk material, Romanticism, and popular Brazilian rhythmic concepts such as frevo, choro, baião and canção. Additional performers include Cristian Perez, guitar, Alexander Kostadinov, piano, Michael Homme, oboe, Melissa Morales, clarinet, Jonathan Zepp, bassoon, and Derek Maseloff, horn.
