MUSIC PERFORMANCE MINOR

The music performance minor allows students pursuing another major to continue their involvement in music and receive high-level training in instrumental or vocal performance.

Ensemble participation and academic courses in music allow students pursuing this minor to achieve expertise in the art, history and theory of music. Please note that music minors are not eligible for music scholarships. Please consider the B.A. or B.M. degree if you would like to be considered for music scholarships.

Curriculum

The music performance minor requires:

  • Four semesters of applied lessons
  • Four semesters of large ensemble participation

  • One semester of music theory
