Student Degree Recital: Emmett Sauchuck, B.M. Horn

This recital will feature Jessica McKee on piano and Emmett Sauchuck on the French horn. The repertoire will include Bagatelle, by Hermann Neuling: an energetic piece that showcases the horn's low range, Four Pieces for Horn, Romance, Valse Triste, Nocturne, and Intermezzo, by Reinhold Glière: an emotional selection from the Romantic era, En Forêt, by Eugène Bozza, an exciting showpiece originally written for student jurries at the Paris Conservatory, and Six Songs by Johannes Brahms, arranged for horn by Martin Hackleman: a beautiful collection of Brahms's leider, including Wie Melodien zieht es mir, Minnelied, Der Gang zum Liebchen, Die Mainacht, And die Nachtigall, and O wüßt ich doch den Weg zurück.
