Graduate Fellowship Ensembles
The University of Maryland School of Music will be recruiting new fellowship ensembles for Fall 2024.
Auditions for the Woodwind Quintet Fellowship and Jazz Combo Fellowship ensembles will be open to eligible Master of Music performance applicants for Fall 2024. UMD fellowship chamber groups are prominent ambassadors at the UMD School of Music, throughout the D.C. Metro region and beyond.
Fellowships are for Master of Music students and provide in-state residency qualification for the duration of the fellowship, 5 credits tuition remission, $5,000 scholarship, a stipend of $13,000, and access to faculty/staff health insurance plans for students and their dependents. Other benefits include:
- Leadership opportunities as School of Music ambassadors
- Community engagement and outreach activities
- Marketing and promotion of members and performances
- Expert coaching from faculty
Current Graduate Fellowship Ensembles at the School of Music are Terrapin Brass and the yet-to-be-named-Fellowship String Quartet.
