Student Degree Junior Recital: Samuel Lam B.M. Cello

School of Music Tuesday, September 22, 2020 8:00 pm - 9:15 pm Online

School of Music student Samuel Lam presents his junior recital with pianist Ying-Shan Su. They will perform three works in chronological order from the first half of the 20th century with wildly contrasting styles. Lam and Su will begin with Paul Hindemith's Sonata for Solo Cello, Op. 25, No. 3, followed by selections from Louis Vierne's Soirs étrangers, Op. 56 and Prokofiev's Cello Sonata, Op. 119. As an interesting aside, 2020 marks the 150th anniversary of Vierne's birth (October 8, 1870).

The livestream of this recital will be available for you to watch from home. Please do not come to the building. This performance is not open to a public audience.
