Paul Douglas Michnewicz has worked with many of today's leading opera directors including: Placido Domingo, Francesca Zambello, Lotfi Mansouri, Christopher Alden, Michael Kahn, John Pascoe, Matthew Lata, Michael Beauchamp and Christopher Mattaliano. He is one of the founders, former Artistic Director, and the current Chairman of the Board of the Theatre Alliance at the H Street Playhouse in Washington, D.C. He continues his relationship with VSA arts providing arts programming for people with disabilities, having directed the Playwright Discovery Program and the Young Soloist Program at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts for 14 years.
Mr. Michnewicz continues his work with the Spoleto Festival in Charlestown, SC; the EOS Orchestra in Manhattan; and the International Vocal Arts Institute in Tel Aviv with Joan Dornemann. His work has been seen at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, the New York Festival of Song, Virginia Opera, Wolf Trap Opera, Shenandoah Conservatory of Music, and the National Holocaust Museum.
