UMD Repertoire Orchestra

Bonnie Alger, Tiffany Lu and Anthony Rivera Music Directors

The University of Maryland Repertoire Orchestra is a unique all-campus orchestra that is open to music majors, non-music majors, UMD faculty and staff, and members of the University of Maryland community.

Led by directors Bonnie Alger, Tiffany Lu and Anthony Rivera, the Repertoire Orchestra rehearses Mondays and Wednesdays from 3:00 pm - 5:00 pm at the Clarice Smith Performing Arts Center.

The orchestra prides itself on a wide range of projects, collaborations and repertoire. The group plays works by major composers such as Beethoven, shares the stage with rock bands, accompanies critically-acclaimed soloists, and forms chamber groups that play string quintets and even ragtime music.

This variety of music making is a source of pride for group members and as such, we welcome a wide variety of music-makers. Please email with any questions about group membership or to find out more about the orchestra.

Students can enroll in the UMD Repertoire Orchestra as a 1-credit course, but it is not a requirement.
