Eirik is currently a Program Manager with CyberData Technologies and manages a team of 30+ government contractors for the NOAA Cyber Security Center. He is a proud Terp and School of Music alumnus. While a student, he participated in many of the band ensembles including the UMD Marching Band, where he met his wife and fellow saxophone player, Brenda. The two married at the University of Maryland Memorial Chapel in 2001. Eirik is passionate about community service, and in 2007 his many interests converged when he accompanied the UM Marching Band on their trip to New Orleans, where they aided Hurricane Katrina recovery efforts at the Habitat for Humanity Musician's Village project. Eirik is a member of the University of Maryland Community Band and performed with the ensemble on their recent tour to China. In 2008, Eirik and Brenda deepened their relationship with the School of Music and established a named endowed scholarship for students majoring in wind, brass, or percussion instruments. Eirik joined the board in 2009. .
