Registration Procedure

Register here for the 2016 Washburgh Timpani Seminar.

To guarantee a spot, please register by May 1. Registrations received after May 1 will be confirmed if space is still available. Participants will receive a confirmation email within 10 business days of your registration. The final bill will arrive by May 15. Payment and confirmation due no later than: June 1. 

 

Refund Policy

  • Withdraw by June 1-June 14: All but $100 refunded
  • Withdraw by June 15-June 21: Half refunded
  • Withdraw on or after June 22: No refund

Tuition and Accommodations

Tuition: $375 Due upon admission to the program. 

Auditor's Fee You may audit the seminar for $50 a day, 3 days maximum. You will still need to register and submit a resume.

RESIDENTIAL PARTICIPANTS

Lodging

Housing is limited, and will be assigned on a first-come, first-serve basis. 

On campus lodging is available in double-occupancy bedrooms within a set of halls known as the south campus suites (15 minute walk to the Clarice Smith Performing Arts Center). Each suite typically has two bathrooms and one common area that are shared amongst three-four bedrooms. These suites house University of Maryland students during the fall, winter, and spring. The suites are air-conditioned and basic linens are included (2 flat sheets, 1 light blanket, 1 pillow, 1 pillow case, and two towels). 

Monday, July 11 – Friday, July 15: $297, includes $90 dining plan, internet access. Sunday, July 10 – Friday, July 15: $347, includes $90 dining plan, internet access.

Dining

The housing fee includes a $90 meal card that can be used at any of our on-campus eateries. This total is intended to cover breakfast on Tuesday – Friday and lunch on Monday – Friday, but you will be able to use your meal card as you please. Dinners are on your own at eateries on campus or in the many eateries available in downtown College Park, a short walk from the residence halls.

Parking

Sunday, July 10 – Friday, July 15: $40. You must register and pre-purchase a parking permit valid in numbered lots if you will be keeping a car on campus. The closest numbered lot, lot 19, is a 10-15 minute walk from the south campus suites.

COMMUTING PARTICIPANTS

Dining

On your own. Applause Café is available for lunch Monday through Friday. Applause offers a variety of cold and hot lunch deli items and continental items such as bagels and muffins for breakfast. Other eateries both on and off campus are within a short walk or drive.

Parking

  • $15/day. You may park as a visitor in the Stadium Drive Garage, located across from the Clarice Smith Performing Arts Center. When you park, take note of your space number and follow posted instructions for using the garage’s pay stations
  • $40/week. You may pre-purchase a permit that will allow you to park from Monday-Friday in numbered lots. The closest numbered lot is 1b.
