At Discover Music on October 6, we invite you to share a day in the life our students. Observe our classes and rehearsals, tour our beautiful spaces at The Clarice, and ask our current music majors about life at UMD in a lively panel discussion.

9:30am - 11am


School of Music Lobby 
10am - 3pm Class and Rehearsal Observations: Shadow our students through a typical Friday schedule of classes and rehearsals.  TBA

Tour and Info Session: See our concert halls and spacious practice rooms, and gather important information about our admissions process.

Begins in School of Music Lobby
3pm Student Panel Discussion: Now's your chance to ask our students why they chose UMD, and what it's like to study music at a major research university. Choral Room, 2201
4:30pm Reception: Enjoy refreshments to the sounds of the UMD Jazz Trio School of Music Lobby
5:30pm Break: Take time on your own to explore the rest of campus and College Park. ----

UMD Wind Orchestra concert, "Remembrances and Tributes": Stick around to see the UMD Wind Orchestra's first performance of the season. A ticket discount code will be provided to all Discover Music participants.
